I first met Carlos and Andrea last year when he was looking for a proposal photographer. He cooked up quite the scheme to get Andrea to Seattle (they live in NY, you see!), and after a whirlwind cross-country proposal, they got to work a-plannin’.
This summer they finally had their dream celebration, “The Big Apple” meets “The Apple State” at Poulsbo’s beloved Kiana Lodge. Among New Yorkers and Washingtonians, they threw an apple and blush themed celebration complete with custom ice cream (Ruiz’s Pieces! MMM!), tables decorated with photo tiles of their New York neighborhood, and saucy Salsa and Merengue dancing (or what masqueraded as such!).
These gorgeous Manolo Blahnik shoes were a gift from their neighbor in NY, who is a professional stylist. Don’t you wish we all got gifts like this? WOW!
Junebug Weddings recently featured our photographs of Andrea & Carlos on their wedding style blog, and when they asked these two what their favorite and most romantic moments were, here’s what they had to say:
Andrea: “In my opinion, the most romantic moment was seeing my soon to be husband for the first time. We choose to see each other before the ceremony to take some pictures and our photographer chose a romantic spot for us to meet on the pier. It was a very private moment for us. Another romantic moment was sitting together at the bonfire at the end of the reception. It was so nice to get away from the music, people, and fun chaos to just sit under the stars and take the whole day in.”
Carlos: “For me it was turning around and seeing her for the first time before we took our pictures. Also, carrying her over the threshold of our hotel suite that night. It was always a dream of mine.”
Congratulations you guys. And yep, Carlos, now that it’s been blogged (many times over, in fact 🙂 ) you’re officially married. See you guys next time you’re on the West Coast!
