In August Margaret and Marco tied the knot in a very Seattle way at one of it’s prized possessions, the Seattle Aquarium.
Man I LOVE her Lazaro gown. SO dreamy with pleats and lace, she found it at a trunk show, in fact. Margaret was stunning.
All three sisters helped her to get ready for the day.
I swear by next summer, I will have taken a “Men’s Fashion” class. Funny how many times these boys ask us how to tie ties and bowties. I know I’m a photographer and we SEEM to know everything at weddings, but that is one of many man-ish things I don’t know how to do.
Their first look at the hotel. I love that the guys are nearby watching with smiles. The girls were in the limo.
Yes, when you were downtown that Saturday, you DID see our crazy selves walking all the way from Pacific Place to Westlake Center to Pike’s Place to Harbor Steps to the Aquarium, shooting as we walked through the crowds, the tourists, the traffic among clapps, honks, and weird looks from passersby (yep, we’re nuts). Best thing- it wasn’t really my idea, and the groomsmen and bridesmaids never let a peep out about their feet hurting. I think they had fun, especially the groomsmen. They’re all from Italy, you see, so their idea of a wedding is QUITE different from us Americans’. I think they may have been amused at the whole production-slash-photo-recon-mission.
I can’t believe how well they coordinate with Pike’s Place Market! Totally a coincidence, but an awesome one for sure.
Yummy yummy light. A gorgeous evening for vows, no doubt.
Margaret and Marco’ favors were wine stoppers that they purchased at a market in Florence, Italy.
Guests entertained themselves touching and feeling. Educational AND a party? Heck yeah!
I learned that the Italians toast EVERYTHING. Like every two minutes. Just because. Love that!
Can you only imagine the funny photobooth pics we ended up with at the end of the night? I bet you can. But we can’t show em here… they’re a little, um, revealing?!
The Seattle Aquarium’s breathtakingly huge tank in the main room. A great backdrop for pictures of any sort.
It’s hard to believe I was there a few years ago for my high school prom. This wedding was WAY cooler. Like WAY.
