Matt and Darcy invited friends and family from all over the country for their intimate dinner party at the Farm Kitchen in Poulsbo on a rainy November afternoon. I just love their style, and I couldn’t wait to see what they had in store for their wedding! You can see their urban engagement pictures here.
The style: farmhouse chic, with a modern green twist. Following a short ceremony in the main room, the guests were invited to find their seats according to the name tree where handcrafted, copper covered leaves hung bearing name tags. A swanky mix of Matt & Darcy’s favorite modern music was playing while guests filled their glasses with hand selected wines and mingled.
The food and desert: divine. With Matt a professional chef at the famed NY Mesa Grill, it was important to both him and Darcy to have an organic and green/local menu. With seasonal dishes from Herban Feast and carefully paired wines, it was a perfectly cozy fall celebration.
After the ceremony we stepped outside for a few “basking in the afterglow” type of pictures. The rain had just stopped, leaving a layer of moisture on everything around. We were walking out to the field behind the farmhouse, when low and behold, I almost stepped on this little guy!
