I adore the style of Nicole and Steve’s modern-turn-rustic-vintage wedding. As we arrived, we spotted one of our favs, Sequoia Leopold, polishing off a lovely wedding look for Nicole’s makeup. Her hair was done by Rachel at Salon Voda. She slipped on her Modern Trousseau silk gown and was nothing less than breathtakingly gorgeous. We met up with Steve looking quite dapper in his SUPER swank Barneys suit, polished it off with some dashing Paul Smith cufflinks, and we photographed these two lovelies starting at Seattle’s swankiest art hotel, Hotel Max. Each floor is different- the doors are actually large printed murals by (Daniels International) of photographs of pineapples, doors, suitcases, and rock n’ roll legends like Kurt Cobain.
After shooting some saucy portraits with attitude, we all migrated to Woodinville’s best kept secret, the Dragonfly Retreat, for their rustic country wedding in the forest, officiated by David Cooper. With rosey hydrangeas, peach roses, Prosecco as favors, and Polariods as the guest book, the reception was stylish and fun! Twelve Baskets served up some delicious food, with a dainty and detailed cake by Jen’s Desserts. Bamboo Beats spun as the guests danced the night away at this little wedding venue tucked away just moments from Seattle.
I love this image Lily captured of Nicole leaving the lodge to walk down the aisle with her dad. So sweet and timeless.
After the ceremony, Nicole and Steve took a break and enjoyed some time alone. They allowed us to make some more beautiful images of them as the light was just getting it’s sweetest.
Congratulations, Steve and Nicole! I hope your first year has been filled with joy and adoration for each other. Thank you for letting Lily and I in to capture you two on your beautiful wedding day!!!
