After a wonderful evening of whale watching and rehearsal dinner bbq-ing, it was time to get down to business. Aisling and Ben were gonna get hitched at the lovely Orcas Hotel in the San Juan Islands. Their wedding was a wonderfully laid back affair, with splashes of orange and blue everywhere (heck, watch out Dr. Seuss. I can rhyme like a Mad Hatter…). When I got together with our fun little bride and groom after their wedding, they said that no one had warned them. I asked them what had happened that could have been so bad, and Aisling laughed, “No one warned us how ridiculously fun it was going to be! We had to take a time out just to soak it all in during the middle of the party!” Now THAT’S a good sign of a good wedding. Without further ado….

I adore this moment, right after they had their walk back up the aisle as Mr. and Mrs. And they thought no one was watching, ha!!!

Fresh island flowers from the market placed in mason jars that Aisling collected over the past year.

I was excited to help them out with their guest book. This was shot during their engagement session at the arboretum in Seattle. Local San Juan Islands wine.

Mini cheesecakes from Pike’s Place Market favorite The Confectional. My stomach is growling just thinking about these!

Why yes, yes this is. This is Ben. This is Ben doing the worm. Doing the worm on his wedding day. Rock on, Ben.

I wrote about this moment before, in A Happy Accident. At least it was white wine, and I am amazed that I just happened to be testing my flash when they dropped their wine!
