I’m so glad I finally have a few hours to sit and catch up on blogging!! This wedding has been on my mind a lot lately, I just loved working with these two. From the first time we met, I just knew Bre, Jesse, and I were going to have a great time working together over the next few months. They just seem to make their own fun wherever they go. You can see their Kirkland waterfront engagement portraits here.
Anywhoo, onto the task at hand… here are some of my fav images from their beautiful wedding this summer at the Golf Club at Newcastle. The day was a hot & stormy August afternoon (yes! I’m THAT far behind in blogging real weddings! I’m SO sorry Bre & Jesse!). The day unfolded pretty much perfectly (in no small part due to fantabulous planner Michelle Engvall!), however a pair of wedding crashers were spotted, denied, and their cocktails were promptly removed from their sneaky little fists. The party went late into the night, as the clouds erupted with lightning and thunder.
I love the next image. It’s not awesome in a technical or artistic sense, but it’s one of those random images that you can’t help but love. Right before the ceremony, Bre and her dad were inside getting ready to walk down the aisle (above). Just outside the door, Michelle was preparing the wedding party and Jesse to walk down the aisle. The look on his face was so pure, it just tugs at my heart. Part nervousness, part excitement, part anticipation. Or, maybe he was just picturing the crowd in their underwear. But I think it had something to do with the fact he was going to marry his best friend.
The sweet ceremony got to just about everyone. So sweet!
Just moments before a light warm rain would fall from the sky, followed by those warm summer thunder and lightning storms!
I love toasts. True, sometimes they drag on and on, I wish I had my own personal gong I could bang, but this one was hilarious. Bre’s dad was telling the crowd about how Jesse MUST be a great guy, seeing as how they have so much in common (height, build, stunningly good looks, hair!!). The crowd was absolutely ROLLING!
Cheers!
