I’ve been blessed this year with some incredibly unique weddings. All weddings are unique of course, because each person brings such great ideas to the table, but this year I’m talking REALLY unique!

Kim and Steve met years ago when they were in college, they both lived in a huge house with tons of roommates and ended up dating (soooo not a good idea unless you decide you’re going to marry this person, wink wink!). They wanted to have a celebration for their wedding that was unique, laid back, and just an all-around fun cocktail party. They chose Maxwelton Aerie, an Alpaca farm on Whidbey Island, she’ll be wearing a custom silk red design from Cicada, and he’ll be wearing a swanky suit with red pinstrips! Stay tuned for pics from this wedding at the end of August.

For our engagement shoot, we went to Volunteer Park, where they spent a lot of time when they first started dating, and brought along their rescued greyhound. Why is it that nearly all of my clients have cool dogs, and I’ve got a bunch of fish??? I’ll have to put “dog” on my list of to-do’s…
