I can’t believe this shoot FINALLY happened. After weeks of scheduling and rescheduling, Marly, Kevin, and I finally got to romp around the Ballard Locks in Seattle for their Engagement-Portraits-slash-Getting-To-Know-You Shoot. This session has such a spring-time feel with their linen and cream cotton style, and wasn’t complete without taking a few snaps of Marly’s Brazilian Flag and Kevin’s big American one (I’ll try and add those later when we finish the full edit!). Sequoia from My Flawless Tan did Marly’s makeup- actually, it was a consultation/dry run for her wedding this summer that Michelle Engvall is helping to plan & design at the Broadmoor Golf Club. So, note to all you brides to be out there, it’s totally worth scheduling your makeup consultation and engagement session on the same afternoon. Two birds with one stone!

This shoot started out like many do- Marly didn’t want any posey-posey images, and definitely not a whole lotta smoochy-face pics. As we roamed around, we got to know a bit more about each other, swapping stories about their cute little dogs and me with my cute little kittens. By the end of the evening, we were spent, the memory cards were full, and they were all over each other. Sweet!!

And one last diptych that I hope makes you smile and feel all warm and fuzzy as much as it did me:
