If you’ve been following along, you know all about the charity organization that we founded a couple of years ago.

All of the hard work is finally  paying off.  Among reports of the families that your donations have helped, comes the very sweet story of Lisa and Steve.

Twenty years ago, Lisa saw a cute boy at a party – to get his attention she told him a bad joke and he laughed.  That was the moment she knew – Steve was the man for her.  Being so young when they were married they didn’t have the big white wedding Lisa dreamed of – while they raised their three girls they often talked of “when we have our wedding” and talked about all the details of how they wanted to plan the party.

A few months back Lisa was diagnosed with breast cancer, she battled it with everything she had – but was given the stage 4 diagnosis… the cancer had spread.  Lisa has some amazing support, her loving family & her long time friends from work at Fred Meyer – they found out about Brides Against Breast Cancer & The Making Memories Foundation and told them Lisa’s story. It took only three weeks to put everything together & on Valentines Day Lisa & Steve had their dream wedding!

When we at Get Hitched Give Hope heard about Lisa & Steve we knew we had to help!  (BABC & MMF are the places we donate the money raised from our annual October Soiree)  So Eliza & Barbie grabbed their cameras and headed over to Port Orchard to photograph this amazing event.

Check out some of the amazing moments they captured at the Brides Against Breast Cancer dress sale, through to Steve and Lisa’s memorable wedding day (click to activate a slideshow)
