Kate and Rachel’s sunshine-filled Camano Island beach nuptials were in-cred-ible. Almost everything was handmade, starting with the venue…the couple was married in front of a cabin that Kate’s grandpa built. Inspiration came from a Caribbean trip in the form of orange and turquoise and the wedding style took off from there.

Lets take a minute and run down the list of DIY elements (and how specific each one was): hand stamped and painted ceramic calendar magnet Save-the-Dates, crocheted ring bearer boxes with driftwood clasps, turquoise, orange, and white beaded strands holding ceremony Mason jar vases filled with orange dahlias, clay starfish ornaments for favors, sand-filled, starfish topped vial escort card holders, driftwood center pieces, hand-stamped eyelet rimmed placemats, orange and blue carnival-esque reception bingo cards, a white paper flower and lantern chandelier, an initialed pennant cake topper, and accordion pinwheel table numbers to name a few.

Um, yeah. That’s rad. And if they couldn’t hand make it you better believe they designed it (see delicious invitations), had it custom silk-screened (you think you can just pick up dahlia print ties anywhere?), or made sure it exuded their individual style (orange argyle socks, initial letterpress blocks, unique vintage parasols, checked bow ties, a wood grain textured wedding band, whew!). Their style, flair, and attention to detail (no shock we’re talking about an art teacher and a wedding photographer) were impressive, gorgeous, and set the stage for a super sweet day filled with friends, family, and overwhelming affection for this lovely pair.

Rachel’s brother officiated the sweet and hilarious ceremony overlooking the Puget Sound. R & K’s guests were tickled by a game of reception bingo.
