You already know Kelsey & Mike. So without further ado, their relaxed Port Ludlow wedding, along with a few elements a la Americana!
Their cute yellow and black wedding invitations. I love the bistro lights…. a hint of what’s to come.
Kelsey found her gorgeous Reem Acra drop-waist wedding gown at Belltown Bride in downtown Seattle.
Kelsey looked so so breathtakingly beautiful that day. And her hair was was just amazing. A gal would kill to have locks like those…Mike’s Facebook status update, moments before the ceremony, “About to walk down the aisle, no more Blackberry for 8 days…” I think that was the most difficult 8 days of Mike’s life. Right, Mike??
A beautiful bayside ceremony and reception was held at their family’s cabin just outside the sleepy coastal town of of Port Ludlow in Puget Sound.
Every bride would hope for a reaction like this….. hands down one of my favorite aise moments and probably my all-time favorite ceremony photograph.
Their seaside ceremony on the bluff was officiated by Sean, Kelsey’s brother in law. What an amazing way to involve family! Their family and friends were actually involved in all aspects of their wedding, from the cake to the floral design to the coordinating and emceeing!
No comment….. other than this is Kelsey and Mike’s Airstream. They’ve traveled across the country in this bad daddy. It’s been through many a concert, and many a road trip.
Intricate custom rings from Greenlake Jewelry Works, where Kelsey is a designer. Mike actually took the reigns and designed her engagement ring (I think it’s on the front page of the GLJ website is you want a better view, ladies!). I think he did a bang-up job. His has champagne diamonds.
Bistro lights, market flowers, mason jars, and vintage labeled bottles adorned the yard.
Okay. Time to explain a little something. These two are nuts for the Huskies. Can you tell? I love their favors- purple beer koozies with their custom quips and cartoons.
Time to explain something else. Despite their best efforts at rain-dancing (joking), the rain came and went. It was a mad dash for the tent, which was “just an insurance policy” that they had to cash in on. Everyone grabbed a stack of glasses, armloads of flowers, and made a caravan of tables down to the tent in the lower field. I’ll bet Kelsey’s and Mike’s moms are happy with their insurance policy now!
This was also the summer of the infamous double rainbow video, so naturally, jokes and impressions were abundant…..
Mmmm. Fresh local food by Seattle’s own Skillet Street Food. Just check out that menu, lovingly scrawled on the side of the trailer.
Crazy dancing by crazy folks. Just wait til you see the photobooth pictures….. that’s up in the next post. Just you wait.
Late night Skillet menu item: Poutine (fries with gravy). A must-have for wedding guests who party hard.
Congrats you guys! I’m so glad I got to document your crazy fun rainstormy vintage-esque beachside wedding. It was TRULY one to remember, especially as the day we lost a flamingo (photobooth prop) to Flabongo-ism. Mike, you still totally owe me a lawn flamingo. 🙂
